John Rawlings

Consultant and Business Development

John spent the first four years of his career in the textile industry, involved in all aspects of cloth and garment manufacture, sales and distribution. The following twenty two years were spent with British Home Stores/Richard shops (Storehouse Group) in a wide range of senior roles in Store Operations, Human Resources, Distribution and Administration/Security before his appointment to the Board of Richard Shops Ltd as Human Resources Director.

In 1991, John joined KPMG Career Consulting where he provided career transition advice and guidance to numerous senior executives from a wide range of organisations, on their outplacement and career management programmes. In addition, he managed KPMG CC’s main London operation.

In 1998, John joined Lee Hecht Harrison – one of the world’s largest providers of career services – as Director of Corporate Relations, where he played a pivotal role in the successful turn-around of the UK business.

At AGM, John is one of a small team involved in developing business relationships with major UK and International organisations as well as delivering consultancy.
