Dr Andy Andrews

After completing his DPhil, Andy began his career in Unilever Research before moving into HR roles both in the UK and as an expatriate in Africa. He helped set up and subsequently ran Unilever’s mini-MBA programme for graduate trainees at the London Business School and was a part-time tutor for the Open University during its early years.

Having been responsible for the management development of top nationals and expatriates and organisational change for Unilever subsidiaries in UK, France, East and West Africa, the Gulf and Australia, Andy left Unilever in 1987 to join KPMG’s management consulting practice, providing strategic organisational and change management advice to a wide range of clients including Bank of America, IBM, Kleinwort Benson and Marks & Spencer.

He subsequently became Managing Director of KPMG Career Consulting Ltd where he established the ‘Chief Executive Programme’ and personally coached many top executives through career transition. In 1997 he helped to sell CC Ltd to a third party and set up ARA Consulting with Roger Shipton, a successful niche consultancy specialising in HR and organisation change, for example in M&As. . Between 2001 and 2005 Andy provided transition services to top clients of DBM plc's as Director of the International Directors Centre.

From 2005 until the present Andy has been a key part of the consultancy team within AGM. He currently deals with some of the highest profile people in UK and international business.
