Neil Robertson

Neil is a highly experienced HR professional with a background in UK and international HR practices. Formerly the Director for People at British Airways, reporting to the CEO and a member of the airline Leadership Team (Executive Committee), Neil held leadership responsibilities for all HR, Employee Relations, Rewards and Training & Development services across the 45000 strong BA Group.

In his previous role as Head of People & OD, Neil was directly responsible for the Business Partner and Client facing HR activity in the UK and overseas as well as the Organisation / Management Development agenda. A graduate of the University of Strathclyde and of the London School of Economics, with a 30 year track record of delivery in a world class international environment, Neil also completed the Advanced Programme in Organisation Development & Human Resource Management at Columbia University in New York.

He has proven experience across a wide range of work groups, leading the development and delivery of an integrated People Plan from strategic creation to operational implementation, and working with Board colleagues and the top leadership team to deliver an active people agenda. A former Pensions Scheme Trustee and a Board Member of the international airline HR association (APDC), he was also a founder member of the Personnel Today HR Directors Club Advisory Board. He is currently the Head of HR for DFID.
