After graduating from RMA Sandhurst, Stephen served with distinction in the Coldstream Guards, serving in SE Asia, America, the Mediterranean and Northern Ireland.

Upon leaving the Army, Stephen was appointed Operations Director of the Software House, Altimax, and then he formed his own career development and management company, Hillcote. This he sold to the US Venture Capital backed group, Affinitas.

He was appointed to DBM plc as Director of Services Development to bring a series of innovative ideas to market, particularly focused towards high earning senior executives and FTSE 100 Boards.

Stephen is a successful entrepreneur and businessman. He has developed powerful relationships with FTSE & Fortune 500 Directors, Boards, politicians, academics and sources of equity funding. Beyond this, he is an active local politician on Guildford Council. Stephen also sits as an NED on other Boards and is currently assisting in establishing a Credit Union.

Stephen is a high-energy innovator and networker. He has been interviewed extensively and his views are often sought for the media in relation to top level employment issues. He has appeared on The Politics Show, News 24, The Today Programme and Five Live, as well as in articles ranging from Forbes magazine to The Times of India. He is also a regular commentator for the BBC on banking pay and bonuses.

Peter has 25 years’ experience in the UK, Europe and USA, running businesses and leading teams successfully as an Executive in Sales and Marketing, and as a Financial Controller for 3M Corporation. In addition, he has set up and run three businesses of his own.

In 2002, Peter left corporate life and set up his own business - the first of three, providing career development and coaching to business owners, entrepreneurs and senior executives, both in private and public sector.

As a coach Peter draws on this experience and expertise, and combines it with his strong intuition and ability to know when to push and when to leave the client be. He brings commercial flair, acuity and incisiveness which enable him to challenge, plan and support his clients to meet their goals.

Peter has a passion for working with executives planning a new career or direction, helping them get clarity through exploring options, making choices, and developing their personal brand to enable them to perform at their best.

Christina joined AGM in 2011 to focus on Marketing and Communications on behalf of clients. Prior to this she worked at the career transition firm Manchester Square Partners, where she coached transition clients and helped them engage with the marketplace. Previously Christina spent 15 years in executive search, initially with Corporate Consulting Group, and subsequently with Spencer Stuart for 14 years. As a Senior Associate, she worked across a broad range of sector practices, latterly focusing on board level appointments in the Industrial practice. Her early career was with SRU Ltd, the strategic market research consultancy.

Christina was educated in Edinburgh and at St Andrews University where she graduated with an MA in English Literature and Language and a postgraduate diploma in Maritime Archaeology. She is a keen scuba diver and regarded as one of the leading shipwreck diving experts in the UK.

Shane is a Main Board Director and heads up the Communications Department at AGM.

Shane's specialism, formed over the last 10 years, is to know and deal with all the leading Headhunters personally, an area where his knowledge and connectivity is unparalleled. Shane previously formed and managed the marketing department for the logistics company, Cadogan Tate. He increased year on year revenue significantly through marketing to high-end private and corporate clients.

Prior to that, he served with the Coldstream Guards for 26 years. His diverse experience ranged from Commanding the largest Training Regiment in the British Army to leading  the multi-national Plans and Policy Division at the NATO School in Oberammergau, with specific responsibility for teaching NATO’s nuclear policy and WMD threats to NATO. His final appointment was as a Staff Officer with The Chief of The Defence Staff at the Ministry of Defence in Whitehall.

After graduating in Applied Chemistry, Alex spent time working within the media & publishing industry before embarking on a 15 year career within recruitment. Founding an interim management business and as a group MD across a specialist consultancy he helped take the business to market and ultimately to sale via a private equity vehicle. As part of a large global business his remit was to then open up 5 international offices including Dubai, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney. He has subsequently been involved investing in a number of research and recruitment related start ups in India and the Middle East.

He is currently an elected official for one of London's largest Boroughs, where he is currently the Deputy Mayor. He is also a senior Operations Director for a large international recruitment firm.

John spent the first four years of his career in the textile industry, involved in all aspects of cloth and garment manufacture, sales and distribution. The following 22 years were spent with British Home Stores/Richard shops (Storehouse Group) in a wide range of senior roles in Store Operations, Human Resources, Distribution and Administration/Security before his appointment to the Board of Richard Shops Ltd as Human Resources Director.

In 1991, John joined KPMG Career Consulting where he provided career transition advice and guidance to numerous senior executives from a wide range of organisations, on their outplacement and career management programmes. In addition, he managed KPMG Career Consulting's main London operation.

In 1998, John joined Lee Hecht Harrison - one of the world's largest providers of career services - as Director of Corporate Relations, where he played a pivotal role in the successful turn-around of the UK business.

John is a key member of the Consultancy team, providing practical and wise advice and making a difference to clients' lives.

She is the immediate past President of the Media Society. Geraldine specialises in strategic communications, focusing on reputation management and media placement.

David has worked as a correspondent for the BBC, ITN and Channel Four News. He has presented both radio and TV programmes for the BBC and has written numerous articles for national and international publications. He has also served for several years as a communications director and is the author of four books.

Over the past five years, he has worked extensively as a media trainer in the corporate, public and voluntary sectors. He has interviewed every Prime Minister since Macmillan and he has helped current political leaders to success. David is the current President of the Media Society.

Megan graduated with a 2:1 from Leeds in June 2009. Prior to joining AGM in May 2011, Megan worked at the House of Commons as Parliamentary Assistant to Government Whip, Bill Wiggin MP, and previous to that role, Private Secretary to the Rt Hon Michael Ancram QC MP.

Megan brings client relations experience to her role at AGM, ensuring that clients are dealt with intelligently and with the utmost professionalism.

Emma has 15 years experience in research and technology, specialising in business information. The majority of her career has been in the consulting and career transition industries, having spent eight years with KPMG Consulting and five years at DBM plc. There she set up the research function for the International Directors Centre, pioneered the company's online services and developed a cohesive European research strategy.

Emma has also worked for a leading web consultancy, Agency.com, and investment bankers, Credit Suisse, as well as running a number of freelance projects. She runs a small team providing research of the highest quality to AGM clients.

Having trained and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1983 with BDO Stoy Hayward, Stephen became a partner in 1987 in a firm specialising in Property and banking. He spent the next 22 years in the profession specialising in property and advising on deals and transactions.

After a period as a partner in Baker Tilly as Head of Property and then at Chiltern Group plc also as Head of Property he finally moved out of the profession to become CEO of a small private equity company specialising in Real Estate transactions. He also holds a number of non- executive advisory positions including Cadogan Tate, AGM, Rhodius Partners and a number of other private property companies. He acts as advisor on strategy and other commercial issues and the role provides him with the opportunity to be entrepreneurial and creative.

In addition, Stephen supports various charities including being a founding Trustee of the Heart Cell Foundation, which funds stem cell research to improve the treatment of people with chronic heart disease.
